Southern Log Crafters LLC

  Southern Log Crafters and owner Cecil Stubbs (pictured right) have been constructing custom, handcrafted, Log and Timber Framed Homes for over fourteen years.  In late 2008 we partnered with Goshen Timber Frames in Franklin, NC to offer our customers more than just a pleasurable building experience.  Goshen Timber Frames allows us to do what we are good at, build beautiful handcrafted log homes, but, with a modern twist.  With this exclusive partnership in place, the Traditional Log Frame™ home was born.  We also gained a wealth of design and building, knowledge and experience, in both Bonnie and David Pickartz.  Their knowledge of joinery is astounding and was very helpful in figuring out the ins and outs of some of the complex mortise and tenon joinery.  This, combined with the full scribe and box back techniques used in full log construction are make up the very essence of a Traditional Log Frame™ home.  Any one of these post and beam style homes  truly are "one of a kind".

The Design Team- Goshen Timber Frames offers a great in-house design team that is conscientious of every one of our customer's needs and wants.  They work hand in hand with each customer to fulfill all of the desires that they have for their Dream Home design.  With the state of the art Dietrich's design software that is used we can actually provide our customers with a 3D walk-through of their home prior to the first log or timber being cut.

The Cut Team - Southern Log Crafters has some of the most conscientious log and timber craftsmen in the industry on their team.  So meticulous, in fact, that they have only a 1/16" allowance on any aspect of the exposed joinery systems during 'trial fit'.

The Install Team - These are the same guys that cut and 'trial fit' your structural frame, and again, some of the most meticulous and experienced craftsmen in the business.
