All of SLC's One of a Kind, Hand Crafted Furnishings are enough to get anyone to look twice and are easily affordable. Our products can also be shipped anywhere in the world.
All of our pieces are constructed from antique American lumber (indigenous to NC), some in excess of 450 years old but the supplies are limited, this is recycled material from two old timber frame barns harvested from the Knoxville area estimated to be over 150 years old . It consists of beautiful old growth poplar, yellow pine, oak, and a small quantity of chestnut. Some of the poplar 2x8 boards have over 100 rings in the end grain and with the oak mantle above we used the existing tenons (cut by craftsmen over 150 years ago) as brackets and scribe fit them below the timber, there were over 200 rings in the oak 6x10 timber.
