Here at Southern Log Crafters, we are committed to the satisfaction of all of our customer's needs.  For this reason, we offer a wide range of services to homeowners and contractors regardless of which log or timber manufacturer you may choose:

(We do not offer full "Turn-Key" construction services.)

Erection Services: Provided anywhere in the continental US

 

  • Job site inspection prior to log package and crew arrival
  • Floor system construction immediately prior to package arrival
  • Offload of truck with equipment. (provided by owner/contractor)
  • Erect all log walls or structural frame as per prints
  • Install all load post per prints
  • Erect all heavy timber/log loft beams as per prints
  • Construct necessary walls to set heavy timber/log roof beams/purlins and brace for framing crew arrival
  • Install window and door bucks 

 

Basic Dry-In:  Provided anywhere in the continental US

All of the above services plus 

  • Construct roofing components to felt paper (common frame/build-up/roof trusses or combination there of)
  • Construct all porches to felt paper
  • Construct all exterior walls/including gables to o.s.b. sheeting
  • Sub-fascia installed

 

 

Semi-Complete Dry-In: Provided anywhere in the Continental US

 All the above services plus

  • Tyvek wrap (moisture barrier) on all exterior walls
  • Set all exterior nailing flange style windows
  • Apply 2x4 nailer around openings in framed walls for trim application(trim to be completed by others)
  • Set doors
  • Install T&G loft decking/ flooring
  • Construct decks (not under roof)

 

 

Complete Dry-In & other services: Provided anywhere in the Continental US

 All of the above services plus

  • Install all siding
  • Exterior soffits and fascia
  • Window and door trim
  • Handrails
  • Interior partitions
  • Stairs (rough framed only)- Heavy timber and log stair systems are seen as interior trim components.

 

 Interior trims and more: Provided in Western NC only.

 

 Tongue and groove wall and ceiling coverings

        Interior Log siding and Bead board wall coverings

        Interior trims (door, window, moldings, etc.)

 

 

The following items are fabricated at our facility prior to being shipped and installed anywhere in the Continental US:

        Heavy timber or Log Stair and railing systems

        Built-ins and special cabinetry units

        Furnishings
